We need to use 2 beamers at the same time. After hours of trial & error we got it working, but I wonder if it is really that complicated. Sadly, the documentation is silent on the matter of setting up displays.
What we had to do:
Connect beamers to xga and hdmi ports, get them running.
Go into win11 system and add two displays. Arrange them so that the main screen is in the middle.
Start soundshow, but not in fullscreen. Drag it to the left side.
The windows desktop should appear on both beamers.
Assign a clip to display 1 and run it. You now can see the running clip, behind the soundshow screen. Catch it with the left mouse button and drag it to the right, completely offscreen. The clip should appear on one of the beamers.
Do the same with a second clip but assign it to display 2, run it and drag it offscreen to the left. The clip should appear on the second beamer.
Unfortunately, sometimes clips will appear not at all on the main screen, and the assignment to the displays seems a bit erratic.
And the worst: once you get it running, the setting does not get saved in the project, you have to do this procedure in soundshow every time you fire up a project.
Is there a better/easier way to set up the displays? And how can this be saved?
