Hi! I'm an in-person DM for a Dungeons and Dragons game. I've been looking into software/hardware that can be a one stop shop for my sound needs. I've been playing around with Sound Show and have a feature request to make. If possible can we get Category based actions/logic. As a DM I have ambient sounds (like waves, rain, forest) and music (travel, tense, combat). Say I put them into two categories in Sound Show (Ambient and Music).
1. Would it be possible to have a category volume dial for streamdeck? That way I can just turn down and control all the currently playing sounds in my ambient category without it affecting sounds currently playing in .
2. I like to use the "Toggle Fade" action for my "ambient" sounds so I can play multiple at the same time and stop them individually when necessary. But for my "music" sounds I never want them playing at the same time so I usually have them crossfade. The problem right now is that if I press a music sound with crossfade on it and an "ambient" sound is playing as well then the "ambient" sound gets crossfaded and turns off and just the "music" sound is left playing. If possible maybe an option based on category that makes it so that a crossfade is catergory specific and will only crossfade with other sounds that are currently playing in that category.
NOTE: I have found a way around this using multiple devices and setting categories and their sounds to their own separate devices. Though having to change the current output device before hitting any sound button can get a bit tedious.
3. Last thing, can we get a toggle fade option for the streamdeck "button-play" button. Like I mentioned in question #2, I like to have multiple ambient sounds playing at once and also would like to stop individual ones without stopping them all. The Sound Show program has "Toggle Fade" and it works great, I would just like that functionality available through the streamdeck as well.
This is an amazing program and almost meets everyone of my DMing needs including video, pictures, dice rolling, timers, and more. I really appreciate the dedication to this program a lot!
